Mountain View PetSmart
2440 Charleston Road
Mountain View, CA 94043
PetSmart is located just off 101 at San Antonio and Rengstorff exits, next to REI and Best Buy (map)

We are generally not having Sunday adoption fairs during the summer, and most of our cats do not attend fairs unless they are staying at PetSmart.  If you would like to meet a cat, please fill out an application (by clicking on "Adopt [name of cat]!" after clicking on the photo to see the bio) and the foster parent will arrange a meeting in the foster home.

PLEASE NOTE:  Many of our cats are bonded to a littermate and should be adopted together.  More info:  Why we adopt kittens in pairsOur cats our raised to be indoor only and do not go outside.  If you are looking for an indoor/outdoor cat, please try one of the local shelters (Palo Alto Animal Services, Silicon Valley Humane Society, or Peninsula Humane Society - though they will likely recommend indoor-only as well!)

Please download our adoption fair flyer and post it at your veterinary clinic or workplace.

If you are interested in a specific kitten/cat, please visit our adoption gallery. Please fill out an application online and a volunteer will be in touch with you as soon as possible.

DONATIONS FOR SPECIAL NEEDS KITTEN

This little calico kitten was found in a parking lot near the Great Mall and brought to Bay Area Cat Rescue by a good samaritan.  He (he is a rare male calico) has one undeveloped eye, a heart murmur, a congenital eyelid defect requiring surgery, and a condition called Cerebellar Hypoplasia which means that he has trouble with balance and coordination and can't quite control his back legs.  The good news is that it is nonprogressive condition and he can adapt as he gets older and will likely lead a normal life with a little patience and care by his adopter!  He may also have a liver shunt (correctable with surgery) but he is too young (only 5-6 weeks old) to diagnose this.  Please donate to help with the kitten's veterinary bills and care.  Thank you!
