Rusty has been adopted!

Rusty w/MG (BACR #1199)
Male
Domestic Long Hair
Orange tabby

Rusty is a sweet, amazingly loving orange tabby boy who was rescued from a home in Northern California with 25 cats. He and Babe, Darling, and Gingerbread were brought to the Bay Area to find new homes. Rusty purrs all the time and wants nothing more than a human to pet him and love him. He is one of the sweetest cats we have ever met! He has some scarring on his eyes from an infection he had as a kitten, but has been to the eye doctor who says he can see just fine and has a great prognosis. Although he has tested FIV+, he is healthy, happy and ready for a new home! FIV+ cats usually live normal lives, but sometimes their immune systems aren't as strong, so Rusty gets daily lysine in his food to strengthen his immune system, and is perfectly healthy. FIV is transmitted only via bite wounds, and since Rusty had most of his teeth removed a couple years ago as part of a dental check-up, he is unlikely to bite another cat. FIV is NOT transmittable to humans! Read more about FIV here (Stanford Cat Network info page).
