Miss America has been adopted!

Miss America w/MG (BACR #1409)
Female
Domestic Short Hair
Silver tabby

Please note, this cat has special circumstances and might be the only indoor/outdoor cat we adopt out this year. Read her story to find out why:

Miss America was turned in to a local shelter as a feral cat. The shelter had her listed as a male cat, but the day after she was taken from the shelter to be included in a TNR (trap, neuter, return) program, this supposedly male cat had... kittens! Miss America has since been in foster care to be with her kittens, and she's done a great job taking care of them. When they were born, her kittens were tiny and way under typical birthweight -- probably premature -- but they've stayed healthy and will be adopted as very tame, sweet, indoor-only cats. Miss America, though still technically feral, has responded well to her foster care people and is somewhat taken with the non-feral lifestyle. Now that her kittens are ready for their adoptions, Miss America could be returned to a feral colony (monitored by volunteers) or she could be fostered or adopted under special conditions that would help her learn to make her home with people, probably as a yard or indoor/outdoor cat. We'd like her to have her "own" person or people who would watch out for her. Please fill out an application online if you can give this unique girl a home.
